A human being lives, but he is given life.
Until the Christian comes to understand and experience what it means to let Christ give him victory, he will not experience the consistently obedient life he desires. When you come to understand and
experience this truth, your Christian life will never be the same. Many may ask; is such a consistently obedient life really possible? Can we truly have victory over every temptation and sin in our life? We find the answer in (Romans 6:6, 7) “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin, because anyone who has died has been set free from sin”
So what is the answer to how we can live consistently victorious Christian lives? The answer is let Jesus live out His victory in us, a truth taught throughout the Bible (Ps. 16:8, Isa 26:3, 4). Theses passages, and others, point to our dependence on Jesus and His guiding light in our lives. So how do a Christian to apply this truth? It’s simple;
Through Jesus living in us via the Holy Spirit, we have His likes and dislikes, His thoughts, His forgiveness the list could go on and on. Every virtue of Christ is in you through Christ abiding in you.
The last question is; Does the man who does not believe that Christ can give us victory over sin, have the faith he needs to inter heaven?
