One of the best books I have read on this topic, very easy to understand and very informative.

Can You Trust the Modern Translations?

(Author) James R. White

If you are looking for a book about this issue look no farther. This book will walk you through many of the issues that surround the King James Controversy; if you only the first part of this book, then it is still worth buying whether they agree with the author. it covers a lot of the background information relating to the history of the major translations and translators.
