A human being lives, but he is given life.
Jesus promised to baptize His followers with the Holy Spirit so that they would be empowered to take the gospel to the world. This promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost: (Acts 2:1-4). But we need to remember that the baptism of the Holy Spirit was not only for the disciples, this experience was and is for all Christians. Christ empowers all Christians with the Holy Spirit so they may carry out the great commission he has given us in (Matthew 28:18-20)
So how do we receive the in filling of the Holy Spirit today? All we must do is pray and ask Christ to give us the power of the Holy
Spirit and he will answer your pray. If there is any doubt about this just look in (Acts 10:44-47). After the day of Pentecost there were occasions the Spirit fell upon a group of people while Peter was preaching to them.
Asking and receiving this power of the Holy Spirit gives us the power to say “I have found the Messiah “ and I am not talking about if someone comes up to you and asked are you a Christian and you say yes. I am talking about going out in to the world and talking about Christ and how he has changed your life. We must all be willing to “tell our stories”
