40 Days of study

A human being lives, but he is given life.

The Latter Rain

It is vital that we daily walk in the Holy Spirit in order to grow spiritually and be prepared to receive the latter rain of the Holy  Spirit, which prepares God’s people for the final crisis and Christ’s return. There will be many in the time of trouble without a shelter! They will neglect the needful preparation; therefore they will not receive that we must all have, to be fit to live in the sight of a holy God. This may sound impossible to you, however, the key to victory over temptation is learning how to let Jesus live out His life in you.

Peter pointed this out in (Acts 2:16-18) “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel; ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days,
says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams, and on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

Daily spiritual growth in the grace of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit is necessary for us to be able even to recognize the latter
rain of the spirit when it is falling. If you have not received the infilling of the Holy Spirit do not delay another day, Christ is waiting for you.

Supporting Scripture; (Acts 3:19), (Romans 6:6, 11-14) (Gal. 2:20) must reads (Joel 2:23), (1 Tim. 4:1), (Hos. 10:12)

Personal Reflection and Discussion

  1. What changes must happen in a Christian’s life after the baptism of the Holy Spirit?
  2. Why is it not wise to wait to ask for the infill of the Holy Spirit?

It would be exciting times to see the outpouring of the latter rain. Then we would look up and know our redeemer is coming. It would be the best of times and the worst of times. I only pray I would stand faithful, and with that fear I strive to be faithful in the little, so that I could stand in the much. Pray that we will all stand together, each with the thought of whether together of alone we will stand for God and His Glory.

It would truly be something to see. And I agree to would be both the best of times and the worst of times also, we will know the time is upon us, but we will also see some of the people we love not seeing it and know that they will not join us and that thought truly saddens me. Let’s pray that all of our loved ones receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit and join us as our Lord returns.
