Even though most Christians believe prayer is important, many do not understand why prayer is really necessary. Why do we pray to Him? One reason is that prayer is primarily for our benefit, but God is still going to do what he wants, weather we pray or not. The truth of the matter is that it is necessary for God’s children to pray. Why else would Jesus tell us to pray that God’s will be done?
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them (Gen. 1:26, 27). Adam was to be God’s authoritative representative on earth; He was the earth’s watchman or guardian. We read in (Ps. 8:5) “For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor”. Prayer is necessary, because from the beginning God intended to work though humans, not independent of them, in carrying out His will on earth (Thess. 3:1). And in (Thess.3:1) Paul asked believers to pray for the advancement of the gospel: if that message was good then, I
believe that we should continue on with that though today.

Personal Reflection and Discussion
Prayer Activities
Satan does not want us to pray to our Father. He does not want us to have any kind of relationship with our Lord. He will put distractions, temptations, whatever to keep us from our Lord. That is when we must turn to our Father, pray for His help and guidance. We cannot begin to understand the relationship that God and Adam had. We can only build on the one on one we have with God and try to do what He would have us do until the day we will then understand God’s love for us. That is what makes prayer so awesome and so needed.
I like (Job 15:4), (Job 17:17), (Proverbs 15:8) yes I know that I did not write them out Rosie, look them up and tell me what you think.
We’re in a partnership with God, we need to pray to be truely in one accord. There is really a work to do and God is able to fit us for this work. He wants the work to be done, but he really doesn’t need us, he could make the stones cry out in our place. I believe He wants to use us to train us for heaven. In heaven we will work also as ambassador, judge, priest, and joint rulers with God.
I thinks what it all comes down to is that, God sees a need for us to join in His work and Kingdom. We need to be united now to be called into His Kingdom. Is our heart, after his own heart; then what he loves, we should love; what he works for and was willing to even die for (humanity) we should love and work for also. We can’t possibly do that work alone, especially since we can’t see beyond the second we live in, we need God to look beyond what we can’t see and help us do this great work. Dependence on God=humility, and that’s the kind of worker God wants.
When I think of prayer, I think of the time I camping was on Mt. Magazine. Now if you know me you know my story, so a quick note for the ones that do not know me. I was camping at Mt Magazine state park and I sat down and told God I was not moving unless he told me why I was leaving Texas. Well it took three days but I got an answer. Why three days? I believe that it is because I was not ready to hear His answer. Now what did I mean when I say that, I was not ready to hear His answer. I believe that pray brings us closer to God and the closer we get the better we can hear Him, I us the 1 mouth and 2 ears approach to praying, if I pray 10 minutes then I lesion 20 minutes. I know God still talks to us, the only problem is that we are too busy to stop and lesion for the answer.
Ok so I looked up the verses. I am not sure which you meant for Job 17:17. There is no 17:17. I have to confess. It takes a lot of studying for me. I am not one to come up with things superquick. Still, I appreciated you giving me the verses. Job 15:4; Yes, you cast off fears, and restrain prayer from God—-What does restrain mean here? Proverbs 15:8 is easier. Our prayers are a delight to our God. He wants to hear from us, He loves us. It is that simple for me.
I am Sorry Rosie it was (Job16:17), I am tired and my typing is getting bad but that is not reason to be lazy and not type out my responses completely. But disregard that verse, the point I was trying to make with the verses was all of them leads us back to (Job 42:5, 6) “5I have heard you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eyes see you. 6 Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes”.
I read this and find myself thinking that the Holy Spirit had touched him, but during the dialog with God, he experienced the infilling we have been talking about, and at that point he understood.
I pray we all reach that point that we have some level of clearly in our relationship with Christ. For me it was when I was at the Abilene church. There was a point when I was preaching that last sermon before I left and I knew that this was what god had made me for.
As for your other question
This restrain went against Job’s implication that his friends lack awe of God (Job 13:11) which takes us off track, for today so I am going to stop there. But after we finish this book, we can move in to the book of Job, 42 chapters so combine four of them in to 2 days and we have our forty days of study. God bless trouble maker, talk to you soon.
