Well we did it. Today is the last day in our study of Dennis Smith’s book “40 days’ prayers and Devotions to Prepare for the Second
Coming” and I for one have enjoyed it a lot. As of today we have had over 1300 views of the blog and I think for the first 40 days that is not bad. Thank you to everyone that has posted and everyone that has read our posting.
Tomorrow we start on the books of Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians. All are short and we will have plenty of time over the next 40 days to go through them. I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it.
One last thing before we get started, fell free to go back and read the past studies and if you post to them I will be happy to replay to you.

Day 40
The fellowship of believers will play an important role in their spiritual, emotional, and physical restoration that God wants each one of us to experience. Growth should and must be a goal of every Christian fellowship group (One thing to remember if the group gets to large, it should become two groups). If a group is not growing it is not functioning in the manner God intends. Remember, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is given for both our personnel spiritual growth and for spreading of the gospel: just look at (Acts 1:8) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” It is essential for our own personnel spiritual growth to be involved in winning others to Christ. We must personally heed God’s command to be “Fruitful and multiply” (Gen. 1:28).
God could have used angels for the work if soul winning; however, He did not. Why? He knows the importance of each of us being personally involved in reaching others for Christ. The members of the group will join in prayer for those we are reaching out to. We read in the book of Acts that as the early Christians continued to fellowship together the church grew.
When non-believers come to experience Christianity and new biblical truths in the setting of this fellowship, they do so in the context of a close interpersonal relationship with the members of the group. They are placed in the redemptive environment that is conducive to their personal spiritual growth.

Personal Reflection and Discussion
Prayer Activities
These studies have been a blessing. Obviously a study group is not limited to the home. We’re not limited to copy the early church exactly but to carry forth the idea. Here we’re having a fellowship in our home (or where we find ourselves) with people thousands of miles away. What a blessing!!
I agree, I miss the Bible Studies I we had in Abilene, but I am greatfull to study like this as well. the nice thing about these studies is others can read them and join in the talks as well.
Bobby, I just want to say thank you for all the work you are doing for our Lord. God knew what he was doing when He called you and though the work is not easy, with His help, you are doing a tremendous work. My prayers are with you always. We are so blessed that the Lord has decided to use us (people) to spread His word and His love. The angels would do it much faster and easier but we would loose the blessing that God wants us to have. I pray for this ministry and the people it is reaching. I look forward to the next 40 days.:)
Again, I want to thank you and Amalia for all your help, here in Alaska I am 3 hours behind Texas so every morning I get up and the first thing I do is see what you everyone has to say about the studies. I hope you all stay with me and I think we will get even more out of the next 40 days.
