Here is another post that may be off the topic, but I wanted to share this though with you.
Last night I was inspired to start writing letters, but not just any letters but letters to people I do not even know. Now I know someone of you, if not all of you, are asking why would you write a letter to someone you do not even know. Well the thing is there are so many people out there that just need a kind word for someone that I wanted to tell them that they are wanted.
So, here is my challenge to you. Write 5 letters per week, they do not have to be long just a heartfelt letter from you to someone else.
How do you know who to write? Well you can pick names out phone book, drive down the street and just leave a generic letter in someone’s door, or just hand them out to someone you meet on the street you might even want to start with people you know. It’s your call the point here is just to brighten someone’s day.
Please, don’t type the letters, spend the time to hand write them.
Well that is it,
Keep us posted on how your letter campaign is going and in 30 days, come back and tell us how you feel, because the truth is, this letter writing campaign is more about you than anyone else. Jesus said in (Matthew 25:40) “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”
Here is just an example for you,
Dear Friend,
We may have never met, and the chances are that we never will, but I just wanted to tell you that today, is an amazing day, and the world is better off for having you in it.
I know that it has not always been easy and there will hard times ahead. But I know that you are a strong person and you will prevail.
So, may your day be bright and your life be a joyful one, because without you in the world we would all be missing out.
Signed
Sam
P.S. Here is one last thought for you.
– Psalm 138:7 –
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
with your right hand you save me.
