Until the Christian comes to understand and experience what it means to let Christ give him victory, he will not experience the consistently obedient life he desires. When you come to understand and
experience this truth, your Christian life will never be the same. Many may ask; is such a consistently obedient life really possible? Can we truly have victory over every temptation and sin in our life? We find the answer in (Romans 6:6, 7) “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin, because anyone who has died has been set free from sin”
So what is the answer to how we can live consistently victorious Christian lives? The answer is let Jesus live out His victory in us, a truth taught throughout the Bible (Ps. 16:8, Isa 26:3, 4). Theses passages, and others, point to our dependence on Jesus and His guiding light in our lives. So how do a Christian to apply this truth? It’s simple;
Through Jesus living in us via the Holy Spirit, we have His likes and dislikes, His thoughts, His forgiveness the list could go on and on. Every virtue of Christ is in you through Christ abiding in you.
The last question is; Does the man who does not believe that Christ can give us victory over sin, have the faith he needs to inter heaven?

Personal Reflection and Discussion
Prayer Activities
Praise God that we can ask for and receive forgiveness, ask and receive the love of Jesus, and praise God that we can ask and receive the manifestation of jesus’ virtue. There is a big difference on days when I pray for the manifestation of Jesus’ gifts and when I don’t ask. You would think that with such a big difference there is no way I would forget. I am as bad as the children of Isreal when they kept forgetting what all God had just done for them.
For me, when I pray I praise, then ask and then praise again. I feel that I have been very blessed and I never want to forget that.
Before I understood this, I heard it from a Baptist Youth Pastor (while I was questioning his beliefs, trying to find the right church) he was telling me we could sin as a believer and still go to heaven. I disagreed that sinners could ever get to heaven. He said we can’t be perfect of ourselves we will always fall short, and only through Jesus’s perfect life on the cross and ultimately in us can we ever get in. But emphasized a true Christian wouldn’t want to sin, since Jesus lives in him. And ended with we’re saved by grace not by works. I agree and add John 15:10-11, if we want to abide in His love we should keep his commandments so that His joy might remain in us, and that our joy might be full. Saved by grace, but proved by works Matt. 25:35-44.
It took me about 20 yrs to understand that better. Main message: not us, but Jesus in us. I am a Judio (spanish for Jew) just looking at the word you could see ju- together, dio (dios) -God..or in other words united with God. Reminds me of John 10:38+ John 17:11.
