40 Days of study

A human being lives, but he is given life.

How strong is your faith?

Ok, I know that I wrote about 1 Timothy 4:1-10 in my last post, but I could not stop thinking about what this verse said, all night long. (1 Timothy 4:1) Says  1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons”

So here is a question to all you religion bloggers: during the “end times or Last Days” when we are all being persecuted for our faith, and we know that we will be (Revelation 13:7,8) makes it very clear saying that the beast well persecute God’s people. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Or how about (Revelation 3:10) “10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

But back to my question: Will you still be willing to write your post and publish them knowing that you may died for what you have just written? The Bible tells us that this time is coming and we have a role to play it. Just look at (Revelation 14:6) “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people” is this not what we are doing? Christ has given every person on this earth that knows Him, a commission to go forth and spread His message.

This bring us back to (1 Timothy 4:6) “6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.” So, the thing we see here is that Paul says that yes, it is good that we are spreading the message of Christ, but we must be very careful not to spread the wrong message. If there is one peace of advice I could give to other religious bloggers, that would be not to just repeat what you hear in Church. Read your Bible and then tell me your thoughts. If we are to stand for our faith then we must be willing to understand what we believe.

So, I am going to get of my soapbox with this last thought, and it comes form  (1 Timothy 4:16) “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” Paul is telling not just young Timothy that his role is important for his salvation, but rather Timothy’s role is important because he is leading people to Christ. To me this is true to everyone that is preaching, writing books or blogging, we must hold true to Christ and make sure He is in every post we write. What we write may be the first or the only thing that many people well see. And what we tell them, well, it may just be the thing that saves them or not.
